Vacation Protection Plan covers many emergency and unexpected situations prior to and during your vacation. Now, this plan also provides trip cancellation coverage in the event of involuntary job loss1 . The policy includes the following coverage: trip cancellation and interruption, medical expenses up to $10,000 and emergency medical transport up to $25,000, travel delay, baggage delay and loss.
Trip cancellation and interruption
- Covers involuntary job loss if terminated or laid off. Must have been an active employee for the same employer for at least one year.
- Covers the full cost if you have to cancel or if your trip is interrupted 5 days or less before your travel
- Covers inclement weather conditions causing delay or cancellation of travel
Medical expenses up to $10,000 and emergency medical transport up to $25,000
- Pays for physician, hospital and ambulance services
Travel delay
- $200 maximum per day if delayed more than 12 hours
Baggage delay and loss
- Up to $500 if delayed more than 12 hours, and up to $2,000 for lost bags and contents
